Have you ever wondered who made your favorite pokemon

they had to be made by someone right, though who specifically designed them I really can’t find information anywhere except for a few known exceptions, (phantump, pikachu, eevee, etc.) anyone else wonder this sometimes

    the god of gaming, who gaming is named after, made everything gaming. ever wondered why its called a video game, well thats because video sounds like hideo, as in hideo kojima creator of all things games. hideo kojima made my favorite pokemon.

    We do actually know a fair number of them. In the early days the design team at Game Freak was very small, meaning their creators can be narrowed down to one of a handful of people.

    Additionally, some designers share their design work after the games release as part of art books or their own portfolios, or confirm that they created certain Pokémon during interviews.

    Odds are, with a bit of research, you probably can figure out who designed your favourite Pokémon, though some sources are likely to be Japanese only, especially older ones.

    While the curiosity is there, my favorite Pokémon in Vulpix and its evolved form in Ninetales are inspired by Japanese Kitsune folklore. So, considering they're based on "fairy tales", one wonders why Kanto Ninetales hasn't gotten Fairy Typing like its Aloan counterpart 🙄
