Feedback on the New Forum Boards

It is good that attempts are being made to renovate and maintain the forums, rather than leaving them to stagnate and limp along with the same old problems. I applaud the admins for the effort. That is commendable.

It is good that we have this dedicated feedback forum. That was a much needed addition. The news board has been an ill-fitting substitute for some time. And I am sure we will see more new boards as new games are released.

However, I do feel that certain boards have been eliminated in error, and others that were desperately needed were not created. That forces lots of disparate topics into the new "Community Square" board, which essentially replaces the previous general.

The mobile and apps board has largely been rendered redundant given that the big TCG apps have their own dedicated boards, and we rarely get any posts on Pokémon Masters or the café game to justify a dedicated board.

But the anime board did serve a particular audience, and one that does not always intersect with the game audiences. Speaking personally, I have not watched the anime since the Orange Islands arc. The anime and its characters are of virtually zero interest to me. But topics about the anime now appear in the Community Square, and depending on the topic, it can be ambiguous whether people are talking about anime continuity or game continuity.

I have no problem with people who enjoy the anime discussing it, but I feel it made sense to segregate it from game discussion. I think both anime fans and non-anime fans appreciated the board's existence, and it should be brought back.

I am also surprised that we didn't get a dedicated trading board in the TCG Pocket board. The general there has been overrun with trading posts ever since the feature debuted. I feel that is another board that is sorely needed.

I am sure this isn't the last time the forums will be restructured, but is it still possible to reevaluate the existence or addition of certain boards?

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

I like the "General" thing. It's great for stories and stuff.
