Please, make bundles of Trainer Points AND Trainer Credits available for purchase with real money

I know it is possible to buy real life boosters and add them to your game. That's not what I want. I'm old and I don't want to participate in real life tournaments, so real cards would only serve to gather dust in my house.

I believe the Pokemon Company could profit a lot from this and It would make it easier for people that can't play all day long to get points/credits to buy those virtual cards, boosters and bundles. I'm enjoying the game a lot and wouldn't mind dropping a few dollars on it ro get acess to more cards to build my own decks more freely.

And, speaking as a brazillian, it would be amazing if they could facilitate purchasing the points/credits by partenering up with BoaCompra, PagSeguro and even directly with PIX. These would increase the income from brazillians a lot. I'm sure there are other similar paying services and methods around the world that would be great if the Pokemon Company could invest in as well.

You can buy the code cards online really cheap on ebay or other sites. So no need to add this to the app. Also once they do it is not free anymore and the bugs in the game not getting fix would really hurt them

Nobody want this game to become cash grab where only those who purchase mountain of virtual booster packs can obtain certain cards. Lot of people however does not realize that if PTCGL would have direct monetization, there would also be sort of obligation from Pokémon Company to maintain higher quality standard for the service provided.

The way it is now, this game generates them absolutely no profit from anyone who play this game. Only from those who purchase physical PTCG products.

I've never studied economy, but even I can realize as much that this game serves only as promotion for Pokémon brand in general, since all the profit comes from sales of merchandise and licence provision for 3rd parties to sell merchandise.

The way it is, it only cost them money for server maintenance and salaries for people responsible for all the work related to keep the game working.

I assume that they can afford to do so only because Pokémon is such giant brand that all the other Pokémon products generate enough income for them to provide this game completely for free as promotion to increase sales of physical PTCG products.

That however does not change the fact that they have to cut the cost of maintaining this service to absolute minimum possible.

If I have all of this completely wrong, then please explain to me.

The game design team of PTCGL is highly unprofessional, and their update direction is fundamentally flawed. I initially played on a private server (because I couldn't distinguish which was the official server—both used the same login credentials). After returning to the official server, the most baffling thing to me was that friendly matches between players actually have card restrictions—Expanded format cards can't even be used. Is it really necessary to impose format limitations on casual matches between friends? Back in PTCGO, player-versus-player battles were immensely popular precisely because the Expanded format offered endless possibilities for fun. Yet in PTCGL, friends can only battle using the Standard format—this is utterly absurd. Moreover, their previous update to the game's economic system and the changes to daily mission rewards have doomed this game's monetization potential, as they've completely ruined the in-game

Define "really cheap". I'm from Brazil, so paying in dollars would mean paying 5x more for the same product. Which is why I described ways to male it more accessible for brazillians in my post.

I believe you are right. If this game generated income for the Pokemon Company, there would be reason to invest in it. Like paying more developers, and paying them more, to do a better job. I think eveyone can agree that this game is severely underfunded and understaffed. With direct monetization, this could change for the better.

Also, I'm not asking for anything to change. I think the game is fine the way it is right now, with the exp, trainer points and trainer credits you currently get. I just think they should add ways to buy trainer points and credits so we can buy more cards and, in turn, provide profit to the Pokemon Company.

But you can't just buy any Cards you want… they don't have Codes for everything… like, say you want Mewtwo Vstar… you can't just buy a Code for Mewtwo Vstar… you'd have to buy Crown Zenith Boosters and hope you get it, or hope you get enough Golden Tickets to get it… but if we could just buy some Golden Tickets, it would take a lot of the hassle out of it, lol.

@Water-Kriz24 I remember that when I played PTCG last time during the Obsidian Flames season before taking much needed break from this game, there was an option to spend about 2500 Trainer Points to get premium battle pass.

From what I've learned, they have removed premium pass in favor of more tiers and rewards in standard battle pass, but maybe having optional premium subscription that would increase the amount of Trainer Points and Trade Credits received from daily quests, plus some extra rewards from battle pass would be way to go.

I miss the Premium Battle Pass… I know we get the same thing for free now, but I would still wish there was something extra we could save up points for to get extra rewards…

I wouldn't be averse to the premium battle pass coming back. Though I still would want, even with the premium battle pass coming back, a way to purchase Trainer points and credits.

There's a bunch of customizations, like boxes, card sleeves and cois that I'd like to buy but they cost too much and, with cards to buy, I see no incentive whatsoever to get those customizations. They're cool and I would like to have them but, like I said, no incentive to get them at all.

Now, if we had the premium battle pass and/or a way to buy bundles of trainer points/credits, this would change.

Totally agree! Adding direct in-game purchase options, especially through local Brazilian payment methods like PIX or PagSeguro, would be a game-changer for many players. It’s a smart move for accessibility and profit.
