I know I’m pretty late to the discussion but what did you guys think about the console, legends za switch 2 edition and free update for s/v?

I thought it was boring. EXTREMELY boring. It's the exact thing as the Switch, but they made it stronger and changed the joycons a little bit so they can say it's totally new. Saying it's sad comparing the home menu to something like the 3DS's home menu is an understatement, it's so lifeless and empty compared to how fun and welcoming the 3DS's was. Its appearance looks like they're trying to make it look more "professional" and "mature" instead of just making something fun or cool.

I would talk about my opinions on the Switch 2 more if I could but it doesn't have anything else I can talk about because it's literally just the Switch but stronger and with joycon mice.

I'll probably buy it anyways because it's going to have Pokémon games.

Honestly hard to say, I think the bigger joycons will feel better ergonomically. I think overall I just prefer playing games on PC and wish that there was PC support for pokemon games and support for the old pokemon games overall.

I guess in the meantime I'll satisfy my craving with some other monster battler games like Monster Sanctuary/Cassette Beasts or something.. Untitled Image Untitled Image Untitled Image Untitled Image

While the Switch 2 is basically a "Super Switch", it's not the first time they've done something like this. The SNES wasn't that much different than the NES, only that you went from 8-bit to 16-bit but it was the same old Cartridge setup that they used on NES(albeit slightly different). I mean they even sold an SNES adapter that was aptly called "Super Gameboy" where you could play Gameboy games on the SNES(Pokemon Yellow on SNES is kind of cool I won't lie). The funny thing about the Switch 2 though is that it should have been out 2 years ago for the Tears of the Kingdom launch. Whether or not they would have delayed Scarlet and Violet for it, I don't know but I would think having stronger hardware and more time to polish the game would have done quite a bit in terms of a smooth and bug-free launch.

I didn't buy the first Switch because friends and family still had working Wii's so I felt no reason to get a Switch. It also didn't help that I knew the hardware was obsolete before it even launched since it was using Maxwell(2015 hardware) while Pascal came out in 2016 or nearly a year before the Switch launched because Nintendo was being cheap. They're being cheap again since the hardware under the hood this time around is 5 years old or Ampere SoC with some Lovelace enhancements that, as I've already said, should have been out 2 years ago.

Yet, as I've said elsewhere, I'll likely be getting a Switch 2 because I haven't gotten a Nintendo system in over 25 years.

I actually really like it(not including the price, but I guess you can't blame a company for needing/wanting money I guess?) and the game key cards, which are just flat out stupid, but it looks like they won't be used that often, and probably not for games that Im interested in most of the time, but other than that I love the system and am planning on getting it eventually. The fact that game chat needs a nintendo online membership is also annoying, but personally I wouldn't use it anyway.

I think it’s great, but it also has some problems. The magnet on it makes it convenient to use, but it may break down more quickly than switch 1 because of it. The screen is bigger than switch 1, but it takes up more space.
