Double Battle Broken Strategies Part 1

I just realized something: You know how Slaking and Regigigas have terrible abilities? I know a way to make them broken. Medicham’s Pure Power doubles the Attack stat of the user. Medicham can also use Skill Swap. If Medicham uses Skill Swap to give Slaking or Regigigas Pure Power, not only does it make them less useless, but it makes them TWICE as powerful.

Let me know if there’s other broken strats you know of.

not really slaking and regigigas are both physical attackers pure power doubles special attack which they both have mid special attack 80 for regigigas and 95 for slaking while both their attacks stats are 160 so if there is a pokemon that has huge power and skill swap that would be a good combo they also learn very few special attacking moves all by tm too though malamar has skill swap and the ability contrary if you give that to regigigas which knows hammer arm which means that it can get speed boost from hammer arm making it a foe to be reckoned with

A strong double battle strategy involves Oricorio and its Dancer ability. It may be a frail Pokémon but any time the partner uses a Dance move, Oricorio copies it for free. Volcarona is a really strong partner for it due to Quiver Dance + Fiery Dance. Lilligant also works with Quiver Dance + Petal Dance with Oricorio not being affected by the Confusion side effects. You can also go with a Physical setup with Quaquaval in a Swords Dance + Aqua Step configuration. Other Dance moves like Dragon Dance or Victory Dance buffs work too but I think a special setup with Oricorio is best due to Revelation Dance being a Special attack. Yet with the Dancer ability, you can effectively attack three times, thereby allowing you to take out an opponent with Sturdy/Focus Sash with ease and deal solid damage or KO the other Pokémon as well unless they use Protect.

Also, Oricorio can use Baton Pass so if they don't prioritize it, you can pass to a stronger sweeper.

No, Pure Power doubles attack, just like Huge Power does.

Well, if you want it to gain STAB from Volcarona's Fiery Dance, then it would be Baile Style or Flying/Fire. The problem with that is you'd have two x4 Rock vulnerabilities on the field at same time. Sensu Style(Flying/Ghost) is probably the ideal form with Volcarona though because if they send out a Ghost type, its Super Effective both ways. If they send out a Dark Type, Volcarona will eat it alive with Bug STAB. Yet the reason I advocate for Sensu is because Revelation Dance is base power 90 and that's stronger than even Shadow Ball(80 base power).
