The Pokémon Company International are behind Lives build, I think they just use an in house inexperienced development team which saves them the cost of paying an outside company to build the game. I think the management of TPCi are all incompetent though because they can not see the potential Live has, it would be years ahead of the other TCGs with the proper love and development. I just can't get my head around why they are not exploiting the profits that could be made. Pocket is proving that it's worth investing in the Pokémon TCG.

I would like to see a no weakness and no resistance mode.

There's already monetization in PTCGL… it's not Required but you can, and many like myself still do, but Cards and or Codes to input into the game to get more Cards… sometimes I even buy Booster Pack Codes just to get Golden Tickets so I can Craft the Cards I really want, lol.

@Water-Kriz24 Purchasing physical PTCG products from retailers and redeeming codes in PTCGL is not exactly game monetization.

That still falls in the promo category, since the Pokémon Company make profit from retailers stocking on PTCG products to sell, not directly from allowing players to purchase virtual boosters, and theme decks for real currency in-game.

AFAIK, you can get those only for Trainer Points which itself can't be purchased. Only earned by doing daily quests, making progress through Battle Pass and leveling up.

Point is that this game is not considered as product that would make them direct profit. Physical PTCG cards are. Even if you redeem code in-game, profit was still made from the physical PTCG products sold to the retailers, not from this game.

You can buy most of those Theme Decks or the Codes for them with real money…
And it doesn't matter if the Pokemon Company doesn't get EXTRA money for it… all that means is they already made their money, so adding further monetization on top of it would suck…
The Pokemon Company is NOT hurting for money, lol.

@Water-Kriz24 You are completely missing the point that since they are making profit only from retail products while this game generate no profit directly, there is also no reason for them to invest money in dedicated development team that would improve this game.

The way it is now, is just maintenance and updates. No improvements, no innovation.

And by updates, I mean they take data already made for the retail PTCG and import that into the game, then set instructions for AI to generate codes for new cards, to make each attack, effect and rulebox performing the intended action.

No reason for them to invest in the game?? So, they just don't care about their fans at all then… they don't care about making their games good then… and that's sad. :(
