Ideas for New Game Modes

I like what they're doing with Trainer's Trials… not in so much as in I want to play Trainer's Trials, but that I like that they are experimenting with New Game Modes.
What I would really like to see… well, first of all, Expanded must come out of Beta, lol… but I would like to see a New Expanded Mode…
One that's geared toward longer Battles… the Decks for it could be 80 Cards and and you'd have to take 8 Prizes to win by taking Prizes.
Even could do Team Battles for both Standard and Expanded, where it's two against two…
I'm sure other people may even have their own ideas for New Game Modes.

I don't like trials mode as it is now, mostly because it's just for casual play, win nothing/lose nothing and the fact that keeps changing every week or so... gets boring fast.

It should at least count for the Ranked Ladder and players should be able to choose witch of the trials want to play, not waiting weeks fot the trial a player likes. Also Theme deck format would be much better than this random trials.

    @DoubleCure

I wouldn't call Trainer Trials "just for casual play". The sole purpose of that mode is to bring more challenge to the play after all.

Speaking of "casual", you've reminded me that this game actually don't have any casual mode.

There are only highly competitive modes, of which one is ranked.

There is no setting for matchmaking where you could play "experimental" deck that would be fun to play if you are not placed against current meta.

As for the ranked Trainer Trials, it would make sense only if it get it's own ladder, separate from Standard.

Imagine having contest on running track, and tell some of the athletes that they have to participate barefoot, while others can wear their running shoes.

Honestly the trials idea isn't their worst, but they have so much to fix and bring to the game first that this feels like it's been bought to the game to cover over their inability to bring the correct features

I totes understand where you are coming from… but it isn't this site's mod's who are at fault… they probably don't even get paid for this, lol.
However, the Pokemon Company itself deserves every last bit of your criticism… the state of the app is inexcusable, with how it be lagging so much and skipping our turns…
This app is not Elden Ring or Starfield… there is no excuse for it lagging on my machine that can at least play Elden Ring even tho it's at a much lower framerate than normal.
This app isn't even as complicated as games that were made over 20 years ago that play just fine on my PC with no issues at all, and still this app is a… word that I can't say because of the over the top censorship done by this Company, lol.

I know it's not the modders faults, but they are giving people false hope saying they take feedback to improve the game, maybe what should happen is the developers come out and have a Q&A with the player base, but that will never happen lol

it's honestly wild how far behind creatures is when it comes to game development. You don't realize how bad it is when you look into other card games and realize it is normal for most tcg's to have several widely played formats. We need more than just standard and expanded and GLC is a good start but it pales in comparison to the other formats that other tcg's offer. Like there should have been a standard that is without rule box pokemon YEARS ago, forget GLC, we need a standard that functions like normal matches but without the giant 300 hp that can 1 shot everything by turn 2. We need a format with less cards than 60 card decks. The devs just need to put effort into the design of this tcg but I feel like devs threw in the towel long ago, I wish I had hope but I don't. I just wish they would interact with the community beyond customer service tickets, I love the tcg but if creatures keeps not caring, pokemon tcg will lose its player base, I feel like creatures doesn't realize how much they are hurting their own game with how they treat their community

Who is behind development for PTCGL anyway?

From what I've could learn, the predecessor PTCGO was made by Dire Wolf Digital, which you can also tell by the artwork of their other games.

PTCGP is made by DeNA. However from what I've read, development of PTCGL is credited directly to the Pokémon Company International, which is not very informative.

There is also issue that unlike PTCGP where DeNA brought licence from Pokémon Company and put in their own monetary business model to make the game profitable for them, PTCGO/PTCGL never had such thing.

It's basically just promo game to increase the sales of physical PTCG products, it however serves as free to play alternative for those who hesitate to spend money on building competitive physical deck.

It seems unlikely to me that PTCGL will get more dedicated development unless they add monetization to the game to make it profitable along the other Pokémon products.
