Hidden Probability Manipulation Targeting Paying Players

As a paying player who has invested in this game, I've meticulously tracked my draws over the past several months. Despite the advertised 1/500 (0.2%) chance for Crown rarity cards, I have now gone approximately 2,400 consecutive attempts without a single Crown card drop after A2.

    A couple questions…

    1. 2400 packs? or 2400 cards? because thats a huge difference
    2. Is the implication of this post that the game actually punishes you for paying for paying for premium and gold? Because that would be a wild business model…
    3. If your having that bad of luck with premium/paid gold, and based on the title, theres some implication that FTP players are having better odds, why not just stop spending money? I assure you though, the luck is not better on the FTP side of things

I currently have 2 1crown cards. One is gold pikachu that i got within the first week or two of games launch, the other is gold dialga that i got probably two weeks after STS dropped. I have opened 539 packs, 5 cards per pack, works out to 2695 cards. “Statistically” speaking, i should have ~5 1crown cards. Despite what some people think, 1/500 does not mean you are going to get it within 500 draws. You’re not even guaranteed it within 1,000,000 draws.

I am F2P since launch, haven't missed a pack. Haven't pulled a single crown rare. They are just that rare.

oh and also after opening well over 1000+ packs and having collected well over 10000 cards I still have a grand total of 2 gold crown cards a gold pokeball, and a gold HO-OH

I have to agree with the original poster I have been a paying player since the launch of the app and yet even after opening well over 1000+ packs I have never received anything like one of the supposed rare(god) packs and in fact I just finished opening 30 packs in a row and did not receive a single crown rarity card actually all I did get from said 30 packs was 1 rainbow ex, oh but I did also get 3 base ex’s of the same Pokemon in one of the 10 packs and in fact 2 of this Pokemon ex were in the same pack. To bad I already had 10 of this base ex already before this happened! Out of 30 packs opened I got a grand total of 1 card that I didn’t have logged in my Pokédex already

I’ve opened 3,427 packs. 0 god packs. 3 Crown Rare (2 Poke Balls and a Mewtwo. Woohoo! 🙄) I’ve watched set after set go by with some amazing crown golds, such as Nihilego, and despite opening multiple hundreds of packs of each set, haven’t gotten a crown gold Pokemon since Genetic Apex.

I had premium for ~9-10 months. Stopped paying for it because there was no discernible difference from FTP other than getting an extra pack per day. But, when packs have been nerfed as horribly as they have been with shinies that no one asked for and actual hit rates on 2* and above cards are abysmal, what good is an extra pack? Oh, I can get 5 more 1d cards that I already have 15 copies each of and can’t do anything with because there is no burn feature in PTCGP. 🙄 Not worth it. I strongly urge everyone to go FTP. DeNA has done nothing to earn our money.

I don't have the app anymore

It took up too much space on my phone

    Sounds irritating though

Might be a blessing in disguise that I did
