It's too early to pick just yet/I can't decide!
I'll probably pick either Chikorita or Totodile. I'm still not sure which one I'll pick, I'll wait until we see the new Kalos forms or Megas they get.

It may be too early to tell. Their alternative final evolutions or mega evolutions may affect my decision. Assuming they don't have them, probably Chikorita.

I'd rather wait for their final evolution regional forms to be released (which I'm hoping they do like in Arceus).

I'm unsure. On one hand I tend to be pretty cold-hearted and choose "whatever will help me the most competitively in the next competitive games". So in Legends Arceus, I chose Oshawott because I didn't have to worry about needing a low Attack IV like I would for Cyndiquil, and Hisuian Decidueye's typing made me rather skeptical. Plus, I certainly didn't have any good Oshawotts in my older games, because Samurott had never been particularly relevant competitively!
However, in practice I have no idea how these are going to shake out competitively in Gen 10 or Pokemon Champions, and getting these starters ready competitively doesn't sound like a tough task…
Honestly I might just choose whatever I guess is gonna be the strongest in the game lol. Might mean I'm leaning towards Totodile because of Emboar's iffy defensive stats and Speed, and Meganium's movepool issues warding me off. But hey, this game could totally flip those around. Like maybe Meganium will get a huge movepool boost or new forme to help it out!
