The sweetest thing to you about Scarlet or Violet?

I played a little Violet today. I beat my second Gym and first Titan. Caught a few low level pokemon. Dealt with the frustration of having over levelled team. Explored. My favorite part had to be: capturing Pokémon. How many of you felt the same?

If you are finding the game too easy, you could always try putting some restrictions on yourself. Catch a new team after every gym. Don't evolve your Pokémon. Something like that.
It would be nice if we could just disable the exp. share, as we could in XY or SM. But for some reason we have to work around Game Freak's game design to enjoy the game.

For me, I think its the open world nature of the game and that you aren't bound to do things in a particular order. Granted they don't scale the levels on Gym Leader Pokémon, hence some will be insanely easy if you don't do them early(Katy being the notable one). Yet although it's not the first game with the open world design(with roaming Pokemon), the freedom to basically go anywhere is something that is kind of nice. It actually gives some value to the Poké Doll that has been around since Gen 1 that you can use if you run into a Wild Pokémon situation that you weren't expecting. Alas nothing exists for Trainers but at least they won't battle you on sight(another positive in my opinion).
Also, Pokémon who evolve via Stone having the ability to regain moves they would otherwise learn in their base form is a huge, huge upgrade for those Pokémon. Being a Gen 1 player, I always hated Growlithe and Shellder for having to go to level 50 to learn Flamethrower and Ice Beam respectively before I could evolve them(them both being Slow XP Pokémon didn't help either). Here in SV, that's no longer the case. Once you get an Evolution stone, bam they're useful upon evolving.
