remember when general chat was apart of pokemon and we could all talk while playing pokemon online ?!??

or when we could trade cards? now we have to purchase man i really hope they turn things around and just don/t abandon this game for the mobile one that isn't even like playing live tcg

Since you're new, you might have not seen the discussion this is referencing but a while ago there was a thread with this title that eventually turned into a discussion about Pokémon as food. It could never be quiet for more than a few days. It got I think almost 700 comments (or maybe it was almost 750?) before it was deleted because apparently talking about eating fictional and magical versions of animals like fish and cows which we eat in the real world is not kid friendly. It might've also been due to a very few mentions of humans and humanoid Pokémon…

But a lot of people loved that discussion. It was super fun, and most of us were very sad when it was deleted. At least one person quit the forums after it was deleted. There were a few attempts to make a new discussion with the same topic hoping they'd be as fun, but they all got deleted.

What's your favourite Pokémon of all time? Mine is Delphox. It's the best Pokémon ever made. Usually I'd spend an hour or more writing a long comment about why it's so underrated and overhated, the hypocrisy in the reasons people hate it, and how even in the games they only ever focus on Greninja (it's literally treated like Charizard but if the other two starters in its trio never even got weaker versions of what it got and if the other starters didn't have the advantage of being gen 1 mons), all leading to Delphox being EXTREMELY underrated despite being the best Pokémon ever, but I don't feel like doing that now.
