Bug: Game crashes whenever my Gengar ex enters the active spot

This happened a couple times already. I evolve Gengar ex on the bench, switch it in, and the game crashes.
When I reopen it, if I'm fast enough, in connects me back to the battle no problem. Has anyone else experienced this? I realize the sample size of people playing Gengar ex must not be very big
