Trading in tcgp
The trade token currency is really bad. Now we have to choose between burning our rare cards for trade fuel, or being able to flair, or special shop tokens? You could have done so great with this and it is SO BAD.

This system is beyond asinine and is quite frankly going to do the opposite for players wanting to collect the cards they need. I’m not burning 5 cards to then send one person a card.
This should’ve been very simple: You trade one card for one of the same rarity. Keep the trade stamina so you can’t just spam trades, but that should be it. I shouldn’t have to delete multiple other cards to do a trade.

I get that this is a gacha game so we were never going to get “trade one card for a card of the same rarity” with no caveats but the current trading economy is just beyond awful. You have to trade in five 3♦️cards to get the opportunity to trade ONE 3♦️ card. So for every 3♦️ card trade you have to lose six 3♦️cards in exchange for your singular new 3♦️. I’d prefer that the trading token part of the trading system go away entirely but if it has to stay then a singular card should provide far more than they currently do + 2♦️ cards should provide a small amount of trading tokens.

It’s ridiculous to spend five 3♦️ cards to get to trade 1 of them. Now if you want to trade another 3♦️ card you need five other dupes. So each trade requires losing six 3♦️cards to acquire one new card. And the higher rarities just exacerbate how crazy this economy is.
Not to mention, some people flaired some of their 3♦️ dupes because they had no way of knowing there was a better use for them coming. Certainly not a better use that would require this many of them. Really hoping the trading economy is changed.14 -
What am I gona do with 50 duplicates ♦️ and another 50 ♦️♦️ , but with just 10 dup ♦️♦️♦️

There is a reason a lot of games are "CCGs" these days rather than TCGs.
This is very deliberate design to disincentivise trading. They clearly want buying packs to be the only way to acquire cards.
Ideally it should be as open as possible, though I will admit a rarity-for-rarity mandate helps avoid scams and discourage hacking accounts to transfer cards.
But equally if I want to give a friend who just started playing a few of my duplicates to help boost their collection, why shouldn't that be allowed?
I am not generating extra cards. I am not stealing them or cheating to acquire them. I go down one card and a copy appears in my trade partner's collection.
They already have consumable tokens as a restriction on trading. I think that is too much already. But consuming other cards is beyond the pale.
We should petition the developers to remove that restriction.
