I made an account before I was 18. I still have child restrictions.
Hey. I started playing Pokemon Unite during season 5 (2021). I made my Nintendo account so I could play this game. I only noticed after I turned 18 that I could not access voice chat and also have a monthly spending limit even though I am no longer a minor. I looked it up, and there isn't a lot of help around this issue. I made a ticket with the Pokemon Company Support page, and have yet to receive a response. I don't really know what to do, and the people online said "you don't need VC", and whatever. I'm just really annoyed and I hope I get some sort of answer.

From what I heard, you get banned from voice chat simply for using voice chat in Unite. I hope that situation has changed, because MOBAs really need team co-ordination.
I hope you manage to resolve your account issues. I have never had a child account, but I am surprised there isn't some automated way to graduate it into an adult one. Maybe the parent account can do it?

If that's the case, I recommend the same course of action one should take with any company that refuses to address consumer concerns and complaints.
Stop paying for their product, send them a polite but firm message (support ticket, email, handwritten letter, etc.) explaining your grievances and why they are no longer entitled to your money, and politely encourage friends and family who feel similarly to do the same.
If enough people do this, they will either be forced to take notice and make changes, or contend with a shrinking playerbase (and more importantly, payerbase).
Either way, you will no longer be supporting bad practices.
