I think there needs to be something in place to make this more convenient. Either prevent players who got 5 in a row to not participate or make it such that after a person gets 5 in a row then play only against others who won 5 in a row.

Why? To make it easier for alt accounts and new players?
Even tho this event it's too easy for competitive players and annoying for some other players. This is only slightly competitive event the game has, every other event is extremely easy even for alt accounts and new players.
It should be replaced with something harder like a competitive ranking ladder.
