Squirtle and Bulbasaur
hey guys I’m looking to obtain both these guys been trying to trade using link codes and keep getting no where. Was wondering if anyone was interested in helping me out? Thanks!

The GTS on the Pokémon Home mobile app would probably be the quickest solution. Breed your starter (or any starter) and put the offspring up with a request for Bulbasaur and Squirtle. You'll probably get them within a day.
It would be nice if the GTS were still a part of the game rather than being a separate app, but then they couldn't get you to use Pokémon Home and push a subscription on you.

@Eremas No idea. For all I know, they aren't even talking about main series Pokémon, never mind SV. Most users seem to select the appropriate forum for their threads via roulette wheel.

Quick scan of the Pokedex has the Gen 1 Starters in Indigo Disk's Dex(along with Gen 2 through 8… so basically ALL regional starters). The Link codes are basically there to help you find prospective trades with first four digits being one Pokémon(ex: 0164 is Bulbasaur on Indigo Disk Dex) while the second 4 digits is the other Pokémon that is being offered/sought. Unless you have Indigo Disk, the only way to obtain the old starters is via Trade(or transfer via Pokémon Home) so I suspect this person doesn't have the DLC(hence the request).
