This can’t be the end…

I’ve been playing PTCGO since 2011. It has been my game, my hobby, my past time. I have been playing PTCGL for a few weeks now. My only hope is that on April 1st that this entire game is announced as an elaborate April fools prank. I am not adverse to change, I am very flexible, and very patient, but my message to developers is… Are you people actually serious about this?! Are you players out there actually going to go along with this? I know this game is technically still in beta, but it is virtually unplayable! You took an artistic masterpiece, and turned it into a 8-bit joke. PTCGO played like a flawless tabletop simulator. PTCGL plays like a low budget mobile app. Even with an enormous monitor, I can barely see the cards in play without clicking on each one individually. And with the tablet version, it’s difficult to even see anything at all. The cards on your bench are essentially reduced to old-school video game tiles from the 90s. Did you intend to create some sort of video game nostalgia? Because the UI definitely feels like circa 1996. It is bland, it is tasteless, and most importantly it is virtually impossible to play. I can get used to a complete revamp and features and approach; i.e. micro transactions, three forms of currency, and even the lack of the ability to trade. But if I can’t even see what is going on in this miniaturized, excuse for a game board, it’s just not worth playing! I realize that the point of any game such as this is to make money for the company. I have no problem with that. In fact, I’d be willing to pay a substantial monthly subscription fee if it meant I could receive a quality product. However, if you don’t redesign this embarrassment from the bottom up, I predict this game is doomed to fail miserably. I will wait to see what this turns into after the Beta phase, but until then I will not be wasting my time.

I played Online. It definitely wasn’t an “artistic masterpiece,” it was just fine

I haven't been playing Online for that long, and it's not my only hobby, but after a couple weeks playing Live everything became more bearable and it's not as bad as streamers preach. Yes, there are bugs here and there and it's not tournament ready for sure, but it's getting better. The design and gameplay are by no means bad and they will improve with time. We just have to be patient. I understand why hardcore players might be annoyed, but I don't think the amount of hate thrown at Live is in any way okay.

PTCGO is a solid 10 year old game and Live still in beta. Most of the issues streamers point out came from an alpha version they shouldn't have been even able to play from the US as it was Canada only.

I think the harsh critiques are super unfair and I bet they brought a lot of stress to everyone involved in the production of the game. Sometimes we forget human beings are behind the products we consume.

active cards that use deck search do not load cards and do not allow them to be selected. also sometimes the cards freeze at the moment of shifting from the deck to the hand and hang in the air

I hope in less than one month the game became playable becouse all you said its true and its an insult to the player base to go to something so much worse from what we have. See the last twit of Zapdostcg with the regigigas, we cant take this and let them quit us tcgOnline :(
