Reasons a Pokemon tries to break out while being captured
I'm trying to think of all possible reasons a Pokemon would be trying to wiggle its way out of the Poke Ball while being captured, since it's not likely that every single Pokemon doesn't like being in a ball at first.
The reasons I can think of are:
-It's an aggressive Pokemon
-It wants to play/battle more
-It wants to test how strong you are (as in, how well you were at weakening it and/or your ball choice)
-It doesn't like it (at first, for a short while - it's a calming environment)
-It's confused
Can anyone think of any other reasons? Every Pokemon you catch wiggles the ball at least once, and I'm particularly wondering about any potential moreso neutral/positive reasons why it'd wanna break out (nothing that implies it doesn't want to be in there, unless you can think of another idea of that sort).

Beyond the challenge of the game mechanic, it's a representation of taming an animal. You restrain it so it can't resist, then encourage it to comply. Obviously the process is contracted and simplified, taking seconds.
Presumably the Pokémon would rather live freely in the wild. So it tries to escape.

I like to think of it as the Pokémon wanting to see how worthy you are of being its trainer, and that's why Legendaries have extremely low catch rates, and why attacking the Pokémon or giving it a status condition raises the catch rate.

@Sceptile-Master I find all of your findings very reasonable. After all, That would really explain why the majority of legendary Pokemon are so hard to capture without a master ball.

Is it that the Pokémon refuses to listen to you or show lower catch rate then the average when you don’t have enough badges, after being caught or before?

An alternative as of why a Pokemon may leave the Pokeball may be simply to be annoying, like the Jigglypuff from Smosh. They should add a mechanic to the game where you can duct tape the ball closed so the Pokemon can't escape.
