Remove the timer

There is no need for a move timer when you have a game clock. I cant even make a turn because the timer starts when my opponent is finishing their turn and by the time its my turn the timer is out and just ends my turn. I literally cant play

If anything we need the timer to start as soon as the coin flip is happening.

Without an action timer players would be able to stall for 20+ minutes if they are in a losing position to try to force a concede.

Also the action timer is like 45-60 seconds, if you're getting a few seconds it means your game is lagging.

Your game is lagging behind. It might be the result of a bug, but that's what's happening. I've never had this action timer issue in nearly a year of playing.

It is 45 seconds, i have played like 600 games at this point, i have a decent understanding of what the timer is.

Also, keep in mind lag doesn't necessarily means I'm saying your computer is slow or your internet connection is bad, it may be an issue with the game itself or with the servers, because it happens very consistently to some people and not at all to others.

Regardless of why it's happening, it's clear that your game is behind to what is happening on the other player game, that's why the timer starts on their turn.

I've also been having this issue the last few weeks playing on the casual ladder. I get 8 seconds per action at the start of the game and can build it up to a 15 second timer if I play fast enough over the course of the game.

My wild guess is that the turn timer is starting as soon as you try queuing into a game so you get penalized with a bunch of "missed turns" if you don't find a match right away.

I almost timed out playing a Marnie on my turn tonight. Glad to know that my opponent's client knew in advance what action I was going to make and conspired with the server to start the 8 second timer as soon as the Marnie hit the board.

I had the turn timer/turn skip issue on PC too, and I actually found a way to fix it

I uninstalled the game, made sure to delete whatever folder was left that it was installed in, deleted my temp files, cleared my recycle bin, and then reinstalled. I think the game is leaving some junk data that’s messing it up in the temp folders between updates/installs otherwise

Don’t use the disk cleanup utility, mine had turned out to actually not be deleting my temp folders at all. Type “temp” into the search bar in windows and follow the prompts in “delete temporary files” or whatever pops up there.

Hope this works for you all like it worked for me!

It is definitely lag caused by a game bug. Been around for ages.
