    As long as the cards (or anything for that matter) hold value, there are going to be counterfeiters. The best you can do is train yourself to recognise the genuine article and buy or trade only with people and businesses you trust.

    And remember, if a deal seems too good to be true, it usually is.

    I had so many fake cards as a kid but now I know the difference at my lgs I was looking for cards and I saw a showcase but something looked of it was not foil so I told them and then thay threw it away thay take in trades so some one just sole some money

    the only cards i have that are fake are gold cards there just cool to look at

    My first pokemon cards when I have knon pokemon were the fake golden ones I found them at a place for amazon returns and it was $1 for 65 of them. The first Card that i had was a rowlet from McDanalds but I didnt know of pokemon at that time.

    I'm new here and be to collecting cards but not new to the world of Pokemon... Just want some help with distinguishing between real cards and fake...

    NB. I think all the cards I have are not the real ones...
