PC Performance Issues
My laptop has always had issues running this game (it never had a problem with ptcgo). So I was keen to see what this update did to performance with the ability to reduce board animations. The outcome is that it is just as unplayable as ever on PC.
My PC isn't a gaming PC by any means, but it is a fairly decent laptop that should be able to run a trading card game client.
I have attached a screenshot showing the amount of performance this game requires of my PC and that the graphics card is severely overloaded by all the crazy stuff going on the screen.
Please fix this, so we can actually play the game on all platforms easily.

They added options to turn effects off.

For what i see in your post i assume you're running the game on integrated graphics
but then you mentioned a graphic card later and confused me.
does your laptop have a graphic card in addition to integrated graphics? if it does, you may need to change your configuration so the game uses your graphic card instead.
