Pokeball Bug
BUG: Pokeball card fails to retrieve a Pokemon card, even though it is known to have Pokemon cards on your deck.
It has happened to me several times. Last time 2 minutes ago, having a Dragonite and a Aerodactyl on the deck. It is very annoying, because it just happens when you are on the edge.
I haven’t been able to find a logic to it. It usually happens when there are a few cards left on the deck. It sometimes also happens if your Pokemon card was returned to your deck because of Sabrina.
Please fix it.
Thanks

hi, the Pokéball only retrieves “basic” Pokémon from your deck. Both Dragonite and Aerodactyl are evolutions and so won’t be targeted by the effect of “Pokéball”

The “Pokéball” only targets “basic” Pokémon like Dratini, Pikachu, Meowth, Articuno etc etc. Any Pokémon without a pre-evolution card. So Pokémon such as Dragonite and Aerodactyl being evolutions won’t be targeted by the effects of “Pokéball”

Yup, some people are just too fast reporting bugs without properly reading the cards… Poké Ball clearly states:
"Put 1 random Basic Pokemon from your deck into your hand"

Just had this glitch happen to me (again, 11/27/24) on turn 2. I promise you my hand wasn't already magically filled with every stage 1 in my deck by turn 2.
Maybe we all can work on remembering that sometimes bugs just exist and it's okay for players to voice the odd concern here and there

What are talking about? Read the OP again! They were trying to get stage 1/2 with Poke Ball…
So no bug there, they just didn't read the card… your issue has nothing to do with the OP… learn how to read english.

What is an OP?

Pokèball adds ONE BASIC Pokémon from deck to hand. Here is an example of Basic/S1/S2.
Charmander > BasicCharmeleon > Stage 1
Charizard > Stage 2.
Basic Pokémon that can be targeted by the Pokéball apply only to the very first card of an evolution. Exceptions are cards that do not evolve. Electable, Magmar, Jinx, Moltres, Mewtwo etc etc
