Matchmaking this season is terrible

Hey there. It is my first discussion here and I wanted to say something.

I feel the matchmaking this season got quite worse. I haven't been able to reach Master rank (I started on Ultra class 3 due to reaching 1600 the previous season) due to that I'm always getting paired against too strong opponents, while my allies are totally useless.

Not even the latest balance patch helped much to fix that. Pokemon that supposedly got nerfed keep doing an unreal damage. Some times Blastoise's surf instead of push them goes through them and they don't even have an unstoppable status at all.

I feel the balance patches they released this year instead of balancing the game ended unbalancing it more than what it already had.

Defensive Pokemon doesn't tank at all due to how often attackers, speedster and all rounder pokemon get buffed. Pikachu after 3 years got his first nerf after getting around 8 or 9 buffs.

    you probably lost too much in the previous season and got bots on your team. I’m no expert (actually I’m ultra rank lol) but I know A LOT about the bots. It happened to me on my main so that’s why I quit that account for a bit.

    I wish it was that of the bots but is not that since got allies that used voice chat (to flame, but they used it), plus the Pokemon they used aren't the ones bots normally use.

    I reached 1600 the previous season with 15 days to spare. Actually I went from expert 3 to master 1400 in the first 5 days of that season.

    Last time I had such hard time to reach Master rank was on season 5.

    I agree. I've gotten masters twice with nearly 2k games, but this season I've been getting paired with players who've played <100. It's been hard to rank up because of this. Very frustrating and makes me want to quit.
