First card is an ex pokemon

I opened a Pikachu booster pack, the first card I get is an Arcanine ex(the regular one). But the pack is not a rare pack either, because all other card is regular cards. From the odds/rates the game offers this shouldn't happen. Is this normal.

PS: This is not my first pack I have open a lot of packs and this is the only situation I met.

In TCG Pocket a booster pack contains cards selected at random from a predetermined set, with the final card having the highest rarity chance. That's why most of the times the last card it's the most rare in a given pack… but it's completely possible to have the highest rarity as the first card (it's just less common to happen because the first card has way lower chance to have high rarity).

That's how they implemented it so what happened to you it's normal and expected that's the nature of probabilities.

Yeah it's normal. They don't just have good cards in the back of the pack. Any of the cards could be a good card

Thank you for the responses. The pack was not facing back. I just wonder because in the odd given by the game, the first three cards shouldn’t include ex Pokemon.

I had some times where the second card is an ex card for some weird reason so I don’t know what they really do with pack order any more

The first pack is guaranteed an ex, and from what I've seen, the ex depends on the pack. Pikachu has a guaranteed Arcanine, but I don't know what the other packs give.
