Energy for Multi-type Decks is way too luck-based
I feel like I'm being discouraged from making multi-type decks at all since I have now played several games in a row with my mostly water-type deck and got mostly electric energy. The only pokemon in my deck that need lightning energy is dratini and dragonair, everything else is water type. Somehow I only end up getting 2-3 water energies in a 20 turn game. It seems a bit broken… It also makes me pretty sad since basically all dragons need dual energy types. I don't like losing a game because of not getting the correct energy for any of my pokemon…

Yes, there should be a limit on consecutive same type of energy, in my opinion you should only have a max of 3 consecutive energies of the same type then it would change to other energy automatically.

With the removal of resistances, they greatly gutted the viability of 2 type decks. The only good option is to allow people to choose which type energy they want every turn. The consistency currently offered by mono type decks is overwhelming, weaknesses are next to irrelevant without resistances. 3 turns of consecutive energy is probably a dead game. Random. Energy generation does not simulate not getting energy in the tcg. Since both mono and dual type decks can have that problem in the tcg. How this oversight happened baffles my mind. The game wasn't play tested at all.
To add on to this. The sheer dominance of basic ex' because you brick and don't draw a stage one. With no way to pull them out of your deck??? What the hell guys? You just want pikachu and celebi decks forever?

You aren't very up-to-date about the current meta…
Celebi "forever"? the deck was created 10 days ago (the game is too young to say things like that and a new set is coming very soon that will change the meta much more for sure), and btw Celebi now it's not even in the top 3 best meta decks… and Pikachu it's no longer the best deck either.
About basic ex, did you forgot Gyarados ex it's a stage 1? and one of the best desck now. Also the single-point Golem/Druddigon deck won a tournament with more than 1500 participants.I agree that the multi energy type mechanism it's very simplistic indeed, it should be improved… but everything else you said shows you don't know much about Pokemon TCG…
ex, VMax, VStart, GX, etc. (multi-prize Pokemon) were, are and will always be in virtually all top 10 meta decks, with a couple of single-prize decks here and there, this will not change… why would it change? PTCG player base is giant people play it and invest in it…
TCG Pocket it's just a simplified casual version of the original… even if they make a better multi-energy mechanism… two-points Pokemon will dominate over most single-point… ex Pokemon can have multi energy type decks too you know…So if you want to criticize the multi energy type mechanism sure go for it… it's a new thing and could be done better. But everything else about ex Pokemon it's wrong and it's an entirely new topic, what you could ask instead of complaining about ex would be to have a new game mode without ex Pokemon, but again that's a different conversation.
