...I miss the 3DS eShop.
It was very cool, even when it first came out in 2010. But also the Pokemon games there were very good and fun, like my favourite Link Battle (or if you prefer to call, Trozei) that I finished 100% about three times in my life, with every Pokemon of Gens 1-6 captured and all S ranks acquired on all stages! ^^ :)
However, I have not played all Pokemon games exclusive to the 3DS eShop - while I have played and own Link Battle and Shuffle, unfortunately I never got the chance to buy Pokemon Picross, before the eShop ended in March 2023. >.< Shame… That looked like another cool and colourful game to check out, which involved picture puzzles of Pokemon. But because eShop ended… What can I do to get the game? Nothing, it's too late. Oh well. :( …Unless they make a Switch port of the game or something? =/ :O I dunno.
Still, the eShop on 3DS (and Wii U) was really nice, even though it couldn't go on forever I know. Oh and the Virtual Console Pokemon games, I'm just glad they re-released those timeless classics and I got them before the eShop's full closure! [relieved] Although yes, GBA Pokemon games (Ruby/Sapphire and FireRed/LeafGreen) were not brought back for some reason, but they were just as good, too.

Did we learn a lesson about software preservation and what your rights to virtual content stored on a server actually amounts to? Remember this when you buy games for your entirely virtual Switch library.
It's a shame there is no official way to access that content anymore. I wonder if there are other avenues...

I also miss the 3ds eshop dearly as well. There might be a possibility to also revive the 3ds eshop and the entire 3ds legacy in the form of a different console.

You do not say this by happenstance…

Nintendo will send their ninjas after you if you even think about it.

Late for response, sorry! ^^' But yeah maybe… Who knows.

As do I dear friend, as do I.

@TheJeffers @Resilient30 What does this all have to do with avenues? Not a common word to use in my mind, nor do I know what it means. But if nothing else, yes I suppose they could figure out some way with avenues. (One full stop only, not three, by this word.)

There may-or-may-not be a way to access the eshop even now. A little research might give you a surprising answer. I’m not recommending you do anything, just saying.

I doubt they would like me to speculate on the official Pokémon forums.
I would be told to remind you only to use official firmware on your devices.
Do not look at custom firmware. That's verboten.
