(MAJOR SPOILERS) Confusing thing about the end of S/V for me

So at the end, when you fight AI Turo/Sada, they're basically like "You guys are having so much fun, I wanna have fun in the future/past too", and head off in the time machine to their respective era. Now, to the player, they told that they cannot leave the Area Zero Lab because they run thanks to the power of the high amount of crystals there. How is it then that they're able to go adventure off in the past/future? Any theories? I have some ideas but I'd like to hear your guys' first.

    I’d imagine in the past/future there is a mass of tera crystals which is why there are so many in area zero.

    I think you basically broke the code when you fought them which essentially overrides their program
