Some more experienced players gives some large explanations on what Pokémon will be good in this format, if you search on the Internet. Most people will play a fire, water and grass core. Probably Incineroar, Rillaboom and Palafin. But the combination of Archaludon and Pelipper will be popular, and Amoonguss, Gholdengo, Ursaluna-Bloodmoon, Farigiraf, Indeedee-Female (the psychic terrain combination will be popular) and Annihilape. Why Annihilape, because it's my favorite Pokémon this generation.😍

I would reccomend looking into Prankster play. Sableye is very underrated: priority will-o-wisp is insanely good and walls physical attackers. It also gets access to Taunt and Encore, and Recover for healing options. For offense you have Foul Play, Knock Off, Fake Out, and I believe Poltergeist. (Also it's my favorite Pokemon, but that shouldn't matter too much to you.) Grimmsnarl is a good, more widespread option too in this format due to it having dual screens and Parting Shot.
If you want more offense, I reccomend Sylveon and Ursaluna-B for bulky special attackers, Konkeldurr and Baxcalibur@loaded dice with Scale Shot & Icicle Spear for physical bulk, Cinderace and Meowscarada for fast physical, and finally, Volcarona and Gholdengo for fast (ish)special.
