Why does my Hoopa GX power not work?

every time I use the hoopa gx power with needed energy and gx and ex for opponents it does nothing but crosses out my gx as if I used it but it didn’t do anything

It should only work on GX and EX (upper case letters) Pokemons.
That GX Power has no effect on ex (lower case) and V Pokemon.

I guess I had never noticed some are lower case and some are upper case for the GX EX lol thank you!

No problem, but I ment only lower case ex and upper case EX. And also there are the original old lower case ex that existed before the current ex and EX Pokemon... so physically there are 3 "eras" of exs lol
