Anyone know the best way to catch a shiny lv.100 magikarp in Pokemon Platinum?
I've got platinum and only platinum in that generation and I wanna catch a shiny lv.100 magikarp. Anyone know the best way to go about it?

Can you even catch Magikarp (or any Pokémon for that matter) at level 100? Even if you could, there isn't a way to increase shiny chances for wild Pokémon in the water in Platinum.
Your best bet would be to breed one using the Masuda method then to train it up to 100.
But why do you want that? "Ha ha, useless Magikarp shiny and lv. 100, so funny"?
The joke will die before you hit the high 50s.

@TheJeffers in a specific area In those games you have the possibility of fishing up a level 100 magikarp there is also an area in blueberry academy where you can have the chance of encountering a level 100 magikarp I saw someone shiny hunt that on youtube

There is a place you can catch level 100 Magikarp in Platinum? I never heard of that.
Admittedly I didn't play much of the post-game back in the day because I started uni that year, and I didn't touch it when I played the Japanese version a couple of years ago.
Where is that?

Well, that's neat. The older games really had a lot of interesting content in the post game.
It's a shame we can't have that anymore because children own smartphones.

@TheJeffers I believe that in black two and white two you can fish for a level 100 gyarados.
