Ladder points issue

I was ranked Alakazam with 880 ladder points, but after losing to a Ho-Oh ranked opponent with 1500 ladder points, my ladder points were reduced to 800 and I was in Houndoom rank.

After only one loss (and to a higher rank!) I am very confused because this is the first time I have ever seen such a large reduction in points.

    Was this your first time playing since the ladder reset? You get sent back a league after a ladder reset.

    No, I play ptcgl daily to complete daily missions.

    I misread that, sorry. Most likely you silently disconnected and ended up silently losing a few matches. If you ever get a desync, make sure you restart the client immediately.

    Thanks for the reply and the advice.

    However, I restart every time a disconnection occurs to check for rank fluctuations, and this issue happened the first match after launching ptcgl.

    I have been distrustful of ptcgl's behavior in the past, but this event was the most disappointing bug for me, as it was like 4 losses in a row without my involvement.
