Mela not working

During my last game, my rotom was killed by the opponent. In my turn I tried to use mela, having of course a fire energy pile, to attach to my dragapult but the game did not allowed me to play the card. Please check!

    Remember to save logs. Was it knocked out by the attack or by something like poison?
