Do you think a Pokeball hitting a Pokémon hurts it?

If Preschoolers and Poppy can throw Pokéballs with no issues, they can't be that heavy. But maybe they are heavy, and Pokémon humans and children are just insanely strong due to living near Pokémon. We have seen Ash survive multiple FLAMETHROWERS AND THUNDERBOLTS, and just getting over it in seconds and continuing like normal as if he was mildly scratched, and let's not forget the multiple heavy Pokémon and objects he's carried. So that's a likely option too, though in that case since humans are still weaker than Pokémon the Pokéballs shouldn't be heavy enough to actually hurt unless you throw them with all your power or on another trainer's Pokémon.
