Do you think a Pokeball hitting a Pokémon hurts it?

@Sceptile-Master maybe when someone tries to use a Pokeball on another trainer's Pokemon.

The pokeball is probably made out of a light metal like aluminium. Also it would only touch it for a second until it gets sucked up in that red lazer thingy.

@Sceptile-Master for starters, If the pokemon you're about to catch already belonged to someone else.

IDK maybe it does when you throw it too hard

Then we have SV though where throwing your own Pokemon in its ball surprises the other Pokémon or alerts it. I guess it's surprised to feel that out of nowhere or (getting on guard?) that you're approaching it?
Then there's the anime like where Jessie catches Wurmple and Wurmple doesn't even turn around, but maybe Wurmple didn't care. 😅

And then we have different Poke Balls. Does the heavy ball hurt MORE than the love ball?

@MagicarpFisher9 thats a good question

Possibly that heavy ball would hurt more.

The heavy ball isn't necessarily heavier than the others. It's designed to catch heavy Pokémon, that doesn't mean it itself is heavy.

I wonder how heavy pokeballs are. It's never really explained. Are they like a rock? Or maybe a baseball? Would it hurt for a human to get hit with one?
