Amazing Rare Yveltal Amazing Destruction Wrong Interaction with Duraludon VMAX

I was playing a match with Amazing Rare Yveltal in my active with DTE, Special Fire Energy and two Aurora energy attached (no tool cards attached). My opponent had a Duraludon VMAX in the active spot with 2 metal energy and a fighting energy attached (no tool cards attached). I attacked using Amazing Rare Yveltal's Amazing Destruction attack, which knocks out the opponents active Pokemon. I understand that Duraludon has the ability which stops it taking damage from Pokemon with special energies attached. However, Yveltal's attack is an effect of an attack and no damage is actually done. Therefore, I think this is a bug with the effect of the attack of Pokemon with the special energy attached.

More things to note:

1. Duraludon did not have a "Big Parasol" attached nor any other tool cards.
2. No other effects were in play
