Game resolution too low [macOS]

I'm playing the game on an iMac (Retina 5K, 27'') that supports 5120 x 2880 native resolution. In the PTCGL game settings the maximum resolution I can select is 2560 x 1440. This results in a poorer graphics quality with jaggies. I'd expect to be able to play the game with at least 4K resolution.
