Pokemon x and y ahh the game that brought mega evolutions should be the best game right? well not really… Because its just very easy.. you will always I mean ALWAYS be over leveled by the gyms its always a little bit very easy I can sweep a gym with just a mega Lucario and nothing will destroy it. The champion has no good mons. Im not tryna hate on the game because I like how they introduce mega evolutions I just want them to make the games harder like they did with d and p. Now that's challenge Cynthia will dominate your team and I liked it as it was very hard and it raged me and I like that so suggestion: Pokemon just try to make your games harder. Thanks!

i was having trouble with x and y playthrough i felt that it was harder than scarlet and violet in x (just got 3ds) i lost to grant when i choose the grass type starter and almost lost to viola and was almost obliterated by a smeargle while i feel scarlet and violet and sword and shield where easier than x and y since it was easier to level up cause of xp candy and that the second gym leader of paldea level cap is 18 while x and y second gym leader has level 25 pokemon also scarlet and violet had completely avoidable battles for some gyms while their was some battles in x and y that if encountered could weaken your team before your fight

Turn off exp. share. It is the only way to make XY even remotely challenging. You still have to deal with your vapid friends, the dull, nonsensical plot and being in France, but at least you won't be 10 levels above every opponent.

I remember losing against Viola in one of the first times I played the game.

But they were trying to make the games easier for younger audiences. If 8 year old me (I do not remember how old I was since I used to set the device's time to 2011) tried BW or DPPt or any game before the 3DS I probably would have never ended up becoming Pokémon obsessed.

And so, no gym leader had Mega Evolution, a team with over 3 mons, or a full moveset. The exp. Share was remade, Lapras, Lucario, and the Kanto starters are all gift mons you get before the fourth gym. Apart from the 2nd gym which I could never be higher leveled than, the game was made to be easy and had a simple plot. It got even worse in all the Switch games where the Exp. Share is forced, candies exist, etc.

I tried nuzlocking it a year or two ago (with no gift mons btw) and it was so easy I stopped paying attention to strategy and let some mons lose out of stupidity, and still had like 4/5 deaths only.

I'm saying all this as a huge Kalos fan by the way. I love these games a lot regardless.

diantha in particular - she's the only trainer with 6 pokemon, but it doesn't feel like it because of how easy it is to sweep her first 5 with a strong fairy type. and let's be honest - it's gen 6. you've got a fairy type on your team.

Every Pokemon game that had exp share were quite easy, and the new mechanics in SV made it even easier, just basically stand somewhere and let your Pokemon run around and grind exp, also the exp candies being easy to obtain made Lv.100 easy and the DLC parts a walk in the park.

I forgot to mention that I literally steamrolled through the SV elite 4 and obliterated the champ with Skeleridge.
