I'm doing a shiny badge quest, what should I hunt?

I've been wanting to get into shiny hunting for a little while now, and I figured what better way to get into shiny hunting then doing a shiny badge quest! (Pokemon but for every gym you need to hunt a shiny). I am playing Heartgold and I'm going to hunt the Johto starters (I'll hunt them all at once and then I'll get to use them in whatever order I obtain them in) as well as Ho-oh, Dratini Ditto and Eevee, what else should I hunt?

    Adding some extra information, I will be hunting 20 Pokemon in my playthrough but two of them are going to be immediately after Red, one for each gym and champion battle, I guarantee that I will hunt Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Eevee, Dratini Ho-oh, and Ditto (I have a reason that will be revealed later) as well as Treecko and Charmander after the game. Please give me good shiny suggestions!

    no specifics finding 20 shinys alone is going to be extremely difficult

    @clasingla I'm just asking for some good shinies, I'm already doing a tier list of them but I wanted to know what you guys want me to catch

    I've decided to post regular updates here!

    Day 0 - I started hunting the Johto starters on March 16th, 2 weeks ago but I still haven't seen a single shiny starter which is odd since finding a shiny starters is 1/2700 (much more likely). I count this all as day zero because today would be the first full day of the run, I think I may have failed 2 shiny Cyndaquils yesterday but I have no proof of it. Losing motivation hopefully will find a shiny on day 1.

    I feel like you should hunt for shiny Wooper. The type combo is relatively OP, seeing as though you can send him out to tank most attacks. Either that or Marill. I like him.

    What I haven't decided yet is if I can breed Pokemon, I would like to attempt as many methods as possible but breeding seems like cheating as I would have a non shiny to breed with

    I think that it would be fair as long as I hunt a shiny ditto first

    @Acornyo I plan to have both Totodile and another water type, Wooper and Marril are both cool and Politoad is good too, to many descions
