New Fossil Pokemon

maybe not but I'm referring to how fragmented the galarians are as a whole.

@Hey_PIKMIN I didn't know that. I have never used them. It is interesting, considering that they appear to be largely based on the garbled assembly of fossils from multiple creatures that Victorian palaeontologists put together in the early days of the science, that those creatures would have the least in common with other fossil Pokémon.
Perhaps Galar uses a different process?
Or perhaps Gamefreak simply wanted to remove the traditional rock typing restriction that previous Pokémon had from these designs. It might not indicate anything about the intended implications of the revival process or the science behind it.
It's because Galarian fossils are fragmented like the people in Galar and their excessive reliance on Dynamax energy.
I don't think it's that deep. None of Sword and Shield's writing is that deep.
At no point are the people of Galar shown to be divided.
No one every really talks about Galar's energy crisis, especially given that it is said to be 10 CENTURIES away. And Rose is the only person who seems to even believe in or care about it.
A valid interpretation of SwSh's plot is that Rose is legitimately delusional and fighting an enemy entirely in his own imagination. He awoke the big legendary monster he was so afraid of and gave it power in the first place, 1000 years ahead of his own schedule. For no apparent reason.
I would not go looking for deep symbolism in the gen VIII games.

agree to disagree @TheJeffers. As for the fossil pokemon for future gens. What else you would like to see?

The reason the galar fossils aren't rock is because then they wouldn't have the type mix and match because one of the types would have to be rock.

And I'd like to see some ice age fossils like a smileodon or giant sloth. And a plesiasaur would also be cool.

@MajorBrendan We can do if you like. I am not looking to provoke you, I simply disagree with your perspective.
Alternatively you could prove me wrong by posting an instance of Galarians being divided over anything more serious than which gym leader or challenger they support.
I am open to having my mind changed, but you would have to provide evidence of your claims. I would be interested to learn about something I may have missed about SwSh plot. I only played it the once in my second language, after all.
But I am happy to drop the matter here, and will speak no more on it if that is what you wish. No hard feelings.
In answer to your question, I would like to see parasaurolophus.

@TheJeffers I don't think you missed anything in sword and shield other than Dracovish (Dracovish is one of the funniest Pokemon ever)
