Pokémon Forums Edition: Episode #4

Blake, Esbern, and Sophie find themselves at Floccesy Ranch, so they can grow their teams and level up their Pokemon. “Alright, you two get going, and I’m gonna go hunt over in that open field.” Esbern says. He then walks off, leaving Blake and Sophie together. While walking through the tall grass, the group stumbles upon a Lillipup. “Awww!” says Sophie “It’s so cute! I think I’m gonna catch it!”. Blake shrugs “Take it if you want it. I’m trying to look for a stronger Pokemon.”

Sophie tosses her Pokeball. “Popplio, go!” Popplio comes out, ready for battle, but gets distracted by a butterfly floating by. Sophie gets a little mad “Popplio! Focus!” Popplio then snaps back into battle, looking a little embarrassed. “Okay… I just need to use an attack and then catch it… Popplio, use Bubble Beam!” Once hit, Lillipup uses Tail Whip, and Sophie uses the next turn to throw a Pokeball.

The ball shakes once… twice… three times… and it’s in! Sophie squeals excitedly, much to the annoyance of Blake. “Can you stop? I’m trying to find a strong Pokemon…” He says a little harshly. This makes Sophie pretty mad, “Not like you’ve had any luck! I’ve caught one Pokemon, and you caught none!”. Blake gets close to a yell “So you caught a Lillipup, big whoop!”. The two begin bickering back and forth, until Esbern, who just came back from catching a Mareep, snaps. “You two just QUIT ARGUING!” Blake and Sophie immediately stop talking and turn to Esbern, who seems to be extremely agitated.

They both turn to him, and Sophie says “We shouldn’t have lost our tempers, sorry…” before turning to Blake, “Anything you wanna add, Blake?”. Blake just turns away and mumbles, “Sorry… but it was all Sophie’s fault.”. Esbern chuckles a little, “Well then, let’s get going! Maybe in the next area, Blake can finally catch something!”. And the group walks off, Sophie and Esbern laughing, while Blake just follows along, stubborn as always.
