When did you start collecting pokemon cards

For me I started steam stage (which I don’t understand why people hated it when it had dual types and shinies)

    Dual types were cool but in my experience pull rates were bad. I started with Flashfire.

    Started playing competitively around Chilling Reign (first deck was Ice Rider, yay!) but I've been loosely collecting since BW. I don't remember the exact set.
