Hi, I'm from Germany and I hate to admit that even I sometimes do not know how to pronounce a pokemon's in German so I just say it in English lol

Do any of yall have a similar problem like this, where you say the English name of the pokémon first versus compared to your own country's? also, I think Ill like saying Pikachu rather than say it my own language Lol Thanks!

    There's no option for my language, so I tend to play Pokémon in English (which is easier anyways). But even then some are confusing on how to say them, like Regice (is it Regi-ice? Reg-ice? Regi-s?), Decidueye (a name the target demographic of 7-10 year olds can definitely read correctly), or Arceus (do I even need to explain this one).

    @UnovanZorua it’s Rej-ice.

    I barely speak my language and it would just be easier to say the English name.

    I just stopped trying. I admit that when names appear in games and books I generally have no idea how pronounce them. I know what the name is but never how to say it. I sometimes try to say say them but then I feel like I just said it completely and utterly wrong.😅

    @RusselX is it true that in German, Lickitung's name is schlurp?

    Friend: "What's the weirdest pokemon?"

    Me: "Oh, I think it's *AGGRESSIVE SPAGHETTI ABSORPTION NOISE*"

    Friend: (leaves)

    As an MandJTV fan, I must say that Arceus is pronounced Arcoos and Yveltal is Yavaltal
