Something that made you like a specific Pokémon more

Basically, share anything that caused you to start liking a Pokémon that you previously didn't care about much. I'll start:

* The last time I replayed Pokémon Red, Fearow was one of my team's heavy hitters, and I remember it fondly for that. It has good stats for how early in the game you can get it, and picks up a Flying move way faster than Pidgey, letting it take out the Grass and Bug Pokémon the early-game is filled with.

* After long losing streaks in Platinum's Battle Factory, there have been times where the rental Delcatty and Huntail have carried me to victory through luck of the draw.

* Playing through Pokémon Stadium's Petit Cup with only rentals made me grateful to have Farfetch'd. When almost everything else in the cup is a first-form Pokémon, its atrocious stats stick out less.

After finding 4 shiny Teddiursa, 2 shiny Ursaring, 2 shiny Ursaluna, and the latter two being part of the luckiest moment during shiny hunting, I love the Ursaluna line now. So cute and underrated.

I really like the Charizard line much more after taking the deck to a third place at a regionals. I also like Gardevoir more after winning so many locals with the deck.

I'll be honest, I used to dislike Delphox because that was what everyone else did. But while doing a Nuzlocke in X, I realised that it's not as bad as people call it. It's not the worst Pokémon. It's just different from Braixen, and that made people mad. Its magic robe actually looked pretty cool, and the sleeveless jacket wasn't as bad as people claimed.

Right now, it's my favourite Pokémon. It's super fluffy, and it also feels like it could be my best friend because of how human it looks.

Pokémon Conquest gave me an incredible appreciation for DARMANITAN (because of how much it breaks the game)... and to a lesser extent, Carnivine (thanks to its stand-out early-game performance).
