My inactive timer started when my turn hadnt?

I was playing a match against an ambipom deck, the inactive timer started counting down for me although my turn hadn't started, and when my turn did, it immediately went to "opponents turn" completely skipping over my turn?
Player had completed a lot of card movements in their turn, mainly energy onto ambipom, but was counting down the inactive timer for me, although my turn hadn't begun.
