Ability — Stellar Veil Prevent all damage counters from being placed on your Benched Pokémon by effects of attacks used by your opponent's Basic Pokémon.
So, it does not protect the active, ok I got it, but against iron valiant ex Tachyon Bits it does not protect either, iron valiant is a basic pokemon in theory based on the redaction it should protect. So the redaction it's confusing, it should say - "...attacks used by your opponent's REGULAR Basic Pokémon." or - "...attacks used by your opponent's Basic Pokémon.(Except for ex, V or pokemon with a rule box)", it's confusing and silly come on.
