Ultra Ball on first turn would not allow me to select a valid target.

I just had a game where on my first turn I tried to Ultra Ball a Baxcaliber to my hand as I had all the pieces to play it the next turn.

For some reason even though it showed up in the list of valid targets, I was not able to select it. I didn't have much time to try other options but I at least tried a Frigibax and the game allowed that.

As far as I can tell there is no rule against choosing evolutions or Ultra Balls on first turns so this has to be a bug and a pretty significant one at that.


I briefly did some looking on the forums and I did find one other thread with a similar thing happening but they were dealing with this for a Mew V. (https://community.pokemon.com/en-us/discussion/3791/ultra-ball-wont-grab-pokemon)

There were no responses there so I'm making a new thread to bump this issue.

    I realized I neglected to say, this was on the Windows 10 client.

    Unfortunately, not being able to select eligible cards is a known issue affecting a number of cards and this has been happening for a while. It happens rather randomly, but can ruin games. Hopefully this gets addressed soon.
