Gourgeist Bug - incorrect reaction & freeze

Every game I've played with Gourgeist, seems to crash due to a bug each game. In this game, I tried to play my second Gourgeist, and the game treated it like an Ultra Ball. I was forced to discard 2 cards, and select another Gourgeist.

Eventually I was able to play it, but when I played Miriam, the game wouldn't take any input and I was forced to crash

I've seen this behavior on PC and Android, in casual and vs AI.
