I think that there were some great pokemon from that Gen like nidoking, vetreebel, and beedrill.

    Overrated but iconic.

    Except for Lickitung… I want to forget that it even exists.

    Like every generation there are some great designs and some less appealing designs. Being the first generation they will always be iconic and held up as the gold standard by some. If nothing else, they can be praised for introducing the concept so successfully that the franchise became the massive hit that endures to this day.

    Amazing but mid at the same time. The worst one is easily Jynx. Best one is Dragonite.

    I love how Mewtwo looked in Gen 1. It was so stylized. I don't like seeing it so upright. Because it should be a dark figure. A lesson in power corrupting absolutely.

    I have mixed feelings about it. Some of the Pokemon were really great, like Dragonite, Charizard and Vaporeon (hahaha), and some of them were pretty awful (Jynx comes to mind). Overall, I have to say it's never been in my top spot, but it produced a lot of my favorite Pokemon and I like it for that.
