Convergent Species Koffing: Fact or Hoax

I keep seeing this all over the internet with netizens keep raving about claims of a convergent species of the poison gas Pokemon, Koffing. In the form of a watermelon. The question still remains being, is Koffing's convergent species the real thing, or just a hoax in an attempt to get the attention from online viewers?

    I'm pretty sure that the melon Koffing is not happening since Poltchageist takes up the green and edible callback slot there.

    It's fake.

    It was a guess from a riddle leak about Poltchageist from a leaker whose leaks (usually riddles) are often correct.

    It's fake. I have a weird knack for knowing what leaks are fake or not. RIP Puudle, could have been a great pokemon.
