*grumble grumble* ai… *grumble grumble*
I do NOT like ai. I know I know it can be super helpful if you need to know something without searching through the internet and my parents love that… BUT! They use it for EVERYTHING! waaaaaaaa!!!
Dad used to get ai to make ai birthday cards for us and just slap on a happy birthday message… and say he ‘made’ it. 😖🙄 luckily he doesn’t do that anymore. I enjoy no art a LOT more than ai art. Bleh imagine a horrible version starry night but with astronauts floating on balloons that are actually pineapples and swings and slides made of pizza. Now imagine someone being proud of that.
Also they use it for everyday things. It’s so frustrating. Dad used to actually REMEMBER how to train and care for dogs now he just opens up ChatGPT and asks HOW 2 FEED DOGGO🤓. or WHAT TO PACK WHEN I VISIT MY MOMS HOUSE FOR TWO HOURS. (My mom too 😮💨)
or, the one I’m VERY annoyed about is when he asked “WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MY SON WHO IS GETTING ANGRY AND DISRESPECTFUL WITH ME?” um… PARDON?! You’re the parent! AND YOURE THE ONE CALLING YOUR KID DEMONIC AND SCREECHING ALL THE TIME. Sorry. I just like ranting it’s a fun way to cope.

I also really dislike my dad gets always tries to say 'how good it is' and doesn't get the reasons I don't like it 'death of creativity/literally stealing my states dwindling water supplies/exponentially increasing ram prices/stealing jobs for lower quality results/stealing copyrighted works with no compensation or permission from the original creators'

Okay, it's not exactly a BAD thing in my opinion. It can be really helpful. The one thing I just think it should never do is replace creativity.

Agreed, I'm very nervous for my future kid's careers/lives. Even pulling up to a drive through or calling customer support it's a gamble if you're going to get human interaction. I do think it's a good tool but I don't like it's just being forced on us. Simply googling something shouldn't default to AI as the top result 😑

i hаtе it when ai bros try to say “but oh what about the disabled people who want to make art??” like. sir or madam i am disabled and i can make art. there so many people with all kinds of disabilities that make art. there are disabled people that are unable to get a “proper” job and have to make money off of selling art.
